History
The Furnishing Service was formed in 1995 with a view to providing a 'one stop’ service to customers specifically in the social housing sector. The company currently provides a service to over 145 local authorities and housing associations throughout the UK.
The company was established in 1995 and moved to its current head office in East Kilbride in 1998, these premises include a 17,000 sq ft warehouse and a showroom. Over the years the company developed a significant amount of business throughout the North West of England, winning the Manchester City Council contract in 2002, this allowed the company to expand further and open an office and warehouse in Manchester in February 2003.
